STRUCTURE
- Mejisa employs over 30 people and is situated in a 3.500 m² industrial unit built on a 4500 m² pot of land. The installations comprise:
- 150 m² Administration Offices, where the Customer Services and Sales Departments are located.
- 100 m² Technical Offices R&D. Here our group of Industrial Engineers, equipped with the most advanced computers, are in charge of draw and design the machinery.
- 300 m² Warehouse and 100 m² Exhibition Hall. Our Head of stock ensures that everything is always ready for our customers.
- 2.900 m² Workshop to make all the processes and necessary works, coordinated by the foreman. Amongst these workers we count on a group of people specialising in refrigeration plus other in lathes and milling machines.
HISTORY
In 1958 “La Mecánica Jijonenca” (Mejisa) was born. It was formed by the union of 8 craft Workshops, and was situated in a large workshop in the centre of Jijona. Mectufry, a limited company, was born four years later and served the same sector as Mejisa. In 1989 these two companies merged, forming the major group Mejisa-Mectufry. During these years Mejisa-Mectufry has experienced steady growth that has led it to dominate the national market, and to make inroads into the international export field.
Today Mejisa-Mectufry continues to have the enthusiasm of its first days, but now it is coupled with the experience formed over many years serving the needs of the ice cream and nougat market. We are a company that combines traditional craftsmanship with the latest technology to maximize customer satisfaction.
PHILOSOPHY
In Mejisa the needs of our customers and solving their problems lie at the heart of our business. We pride ourselves on being constantly at the disposal of our clients and count our base of satisfied and loyal customers, built up over the last 50 years, as the best recommendation we can offer.
To achieve this success, in Mejisa we have constantly focused on improving and innovating our systems and organisation in order to find the best solutions for our customers. All members of Mejisa regularly attend training programs to expand and update their knowledge. In addition, our R&D Department works in conjunction with all other departments to improve efficiency and promote a policy of respect for the environment. Due to this, in every trade fair or exhibition we present many important new products, and in 1991, Mejisa won the Research, Development and Diversification Award. In Mejisa we continuously strive towards our goal of bringing solutions onto the market.
